A description and how-to on using the Sueetie Search Analytics Reports to track site search behavior
Discovering the Content Needs of Your Community
There is probably no more effective way to learn the types of content your community needs than by tracking what they're searching for. Search Analytics gives you a report on all site search activity. Search terms, member and search date/time. Search analytics also tells you the type of application search engine used if not Sueetie's Global Search Engine. BlogEngine.NET, YetAnotherForum.NET, ScewTurn Wiki and Gallery Server Pro have their own search engine, each with unique application-specific qualities. Sueetie Search Analytics records the application search engine used as the "Search Type."
The Reports
There are three types of Search Analytics Reports:
- All searches of all search types for specified date span with members only/all users filtering.
- All searches by application (search type) for specified date span with members only/all users filtering.
- All searches for a selected community member, by specified date span
All Searches by Date Span. The main Search Analytics Report consists of all searches for all search types by date range with the option to filter by member status.
Searches by Search Type. Clicking on any application/search type element in the main Search Analytics Report will display all searches for that application.
Searches for Specific User. Clicking on any user on the main report or on the Search Type report will display all searches performed by that user for the specified date span.
