The Sueetie License Model will evolve but remain true to its GNU roots, like the applications that comprise it, ScrewTurn Wiki, Gallery Server Pro, BlogEngine.NET and YetAnotherForum.NET. Sueetie's core Open Source Online Community product is free and made possible by the
Sueetie Premium Edition.
Sueetie Community Edition
Each of the applications released with Sueetie (BlogEngine.NET, Gallery Server Pro, YetAnotherForum.NET and ScrewTurn Wiki) use the
GNU General Public License, so the Sueetie Free Community Edition uses the GNU General Public License as well. You are free to use Sueetie and the applications in Sueetie as long as you abide by the
GNU GPLv2 statements in use and redistribution.
If Open Source licensing terms are confusing for you, that's okay. Here are a few GNU GPLv2 essentials that may help.
- If you distribute copies of such a program, whether gratis or for a fee, you must pass on to the recipients the same freedoms that you received. You must make sure that they, too, receive or can get the source code. And you must show them these terms so they know their rights.
- For the developers' and authors' protection, the GPL clearly explains that there is no warranty for this free software.
- The GNU General Public License does not permit incorporating your program into proprietary programs.
Sueetie Premium Edition
Sueetie Premium contains features not found in the Free Community Edition. Sueetie Premium consists of three primary applications,
Sueetie Addon Pack,
Sueetie Analytics, and
Sueetie Marketplace. Sueetie Premium Edition supports two types of licenses: Professional and Enterprise. Both unlock all product features, but unlike Professional, the Enterprise License includes all source code of the premium features. Sueetie Premium source code is proprietary and cannot be redistributed or used in any other application. See
Premium Edition Licensing for use guidelines and details.
Free Product Keys for v3.x
Sueetie Version 3.x offerings require the entry of a free product key to continue to use Sueetie Premium features at the end of the 30-day trial period. At that point the premium features are restricted. Free Product Keys will no longer be required with Sueetie v4.x now in development. Also, v4.x will no longer support restricted use of premium features.
